so, what does a doula do?

Think of me as the person who fills every gap your medical team can't.

Your OB is focused on the clinical. Your partner is trying not to panic. Your nurse has four other patients. I'm the one who's only there for you — tracking every contraction, coaching your breath, adjusting your position, whispering "you're doing it" when you forget you can.

I'm also the one who helped you build your birth plan weeks ago. Who talked you through your fears at 11pm on a Tuesday. Who made sure your birth space felt like you — candles, affirmations, your favorite blanket.

I don't replace your medical team. I make sure you never get lost in it.
